Registration is now open for the HCBA's 22nd Annual Bench Bar Conference, Membership Luncheon & Judicial Reception on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the Tampa Hilton Downtown.
The theme for this year's daylong Bench Bar Conference is “Building Blocks for a Better Practice” and will feature an array of continuing legal education (CLE) opportunities. It will include a plenary session with noted law professor Charles W. Ehrhardt from the Florida State University College of Law, who will present on the impeachment of witnesses.
In addition, the agenda will feature interactive sessions between the Bench and the Bar with the ever-popular "View To and From the Bench" panel discussion with local judiciary, and the "Deconstructing Jury Decision Making" jury panel feedback session.
At noon, the Membership Luncheon will feature well-known political analyst Susan MacManus, Ph.D. as the keynote speaker, who will discuss the November mid-term elections and the numerous proposed Florida ballot measures.
And, later in day, there is a chance for conference attendees from the Bench and Bar to wind down and to mix and mingle at the annual Judicial Reception, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Last year, more than 600 attorneys, judges and legal professionals participated during the day in this signature HCBA event.
