Timothy D. Woodward, Esq. is a partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen, LLP. His entire career has focused on the handling of construction claims and he currently serves as the Firm’s Statewide Practice Group Leader for Construction Law. He has been Board Certified in Construction Law since 2007, served as an adjunct professor teaching Construction Law at the University of South Florida’s College of Engineering and has received numerous awards and distinctions from groups such as Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America and others. Mr. Woodward handles state and federal bench and jury trials for the firm’s construction industry clients, as well as arbitration proceedings with the American Arbitration Association and others. He has both filed and defended against numerous Daubert challenges for his clients, including at least one 11th Circuit reported decision arising from the Tampa Bay Water vs. HDR Engineering matter, which is often cited as precedent for Daubert challenges in construction claims and will be discussed today.
